Meatball Sub

Enjoy this American-style meatball sub without any of the meat!

Ingredients

 3 Sub-Style Rolls
 1 Mozzarella Ball(chopped)
 Basil Leaves(about a handful)
 50 g Parmesan Shavings
Tasty Tomato Sauce
 1 tbsp Olive Oil
 1 Medium Onion
 400 g Canned Chopped Tomatoes
 1 Garlic Clove(crushed)
 ½ tbsp Tomato Purée
 1 tsp Dried Oregano
 Salt & Pepper(to taste)

Method

To make the Tasty Tomato Sauce, heat a small saucepan with the olive oil, add the onion and soften for a few minutes. Then add the tomatoes, garlic, tomato purée and oregano. Simmer the sauce for 20 minutes, and season with salt and pepper.

To make the Meatball Subs, preheat the oven to 200˚C. Cut the sub rolls in half horizontally.

Spread the sauce over one half of the roll. Arrange the Naked Glory No-Meat Balls on top. If preferred, sprinkle over the chopped mozzarella.

Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake for 12 minutes until bubbling.

Garnish with basil (and parmesan if you fancy!) and a pinch of black pepper. Place the remaining half of the sub on top and enjoy!
